ABOUT GÖNNERVEREIN ICMS

Joy in making music is at the heart of the philosophy of the International Community Music School-Basel. Since our founding in 2011, we have offered quality music instruction to students of all ages, all levels, from all backgrounds, reaching more than 400 families.

The Gönnerverein ICMS, our non-profit arm, was formed in January 2025 with the purpose of supporting this tradition of joyful and inclusive musicmaking. Central to our goals is the Fund For Access, which provides financial aid to students who would otherwise be unable to afford private music lessons.

 

Through the Fund For Access we can equip more students with a fluency in the language of music while inviting them into our diverse Basel community, connecting our students and their families, regardless of background, to Basel’s rich cultural scene and history.
