Born in València, Mar received her musical education from Juan Lago and Ana Guijarro. She then completed her Bachelor of Music with highest distinction under Claudio Martínez-Mehner in Cologne and her Masters in Musical Performance with Zoltán Fejérvári in Basel. She is currently still in Fejérvári’s class pursuing a Master’s in Music Pedagogy at the Musik Akademie Basel, blending her passion for performing with her dedication to teaching, helping students unlock their own musical potential in a nurturing environment.

Since her debut in 2014 with the Orquestra de València, she has built a versatile career as a soloist and passionate chamber musician.

Her performances have taken her to prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, Stadtcasino Basel, Bad Iburg, Teatros del Canal Madrid, and Palau de la Música València. She is a founding member of Trio Archai and ALMA Trio and is regularly invited to perform at renowned festivals across Europe, continuously exploring a rich and varied repertoire.

She has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships, including the most recent 1st prize at the 72nd Royal Overseas League Competition with Trio Archai (2024), 3rd prize at the Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition (2023).

Growing up in bilingual schools herself, she deeply values her parents’ generosity and foresight that encouraged her to learn languages, which has opened many doors and greatly facilitated her path in the music world. She wholeheartedly appreciates ICMS’s initiative to combine music and multilingual education, and she looks forward to inspiring students to discover the joy and healing power of music. She deeply believes in music as both an art form and a means of expression and connection, capable of transforming both us as individuals and our surroundings.
